Save the Date for Careers in Aging Week: April 7-13, 2013 

Bringing Greater Awareness and Visibility to Aging, Aging Research and Gerontological Nursing
Careers in Aging Week (CIAW) is an annual event intended to bring greater awareness and visibility to the wide-ranging career opportunities in aging, aging research and gerontological nursing. Schools of nursing across the world may participate by sponsoring events at their schools or in their communities. Participants sponsor events such as networking receptions, panel discussions, job fairs, exhibits, and aging-related film screenings.  Consider hosting an event download the brochure for more ideas!

Award Application - Now Available
Schools of nursing in Maine, Vermont, West Virginia, Mississippi, Wyoming, Idaho and Nevada are invited to apply for one of up to six $400 awards for their planned activities. The application guide is available online.  Deadline to submit is 12 pm EST on February 15, 2013. Questions email ciawapp@geron.org. Winners will be announced via e-mail on March 12, 2013.

Promotional Items
Promotional items and kits are available to help promote your institution's events. The order form will be available February 2013.
