The program’s material is not geared toward any one career, but rather includes all of the skillsets required to succeed in the healthcare sector. Their training involves both classroom and hands-on education on how to give effective patient care, as well as emotional support. Montgomery Job Corps Center

Job Corps is run by the Department of Labor to provide free academic and on-the-job training courses for low-income students. Trenholm State Community College

In 1966, Trenholm State Community College was established as an institution of higher learning. It has two locations in the River Region of Alabama. All of these programs are available at this college: degrees, technical certificates, and career-related training. Courses may be taken at any time of day or night, with small classes and hands-on activities.

As part of Trenholm, the Alabama College System comes under state authority. With open admission procedures, the school accepts students from all backgrounds.

To get a Short-Term Certificate, the college’s Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide program is aiming. There are two terms and 23 credit hours in total. There are 16 hours of needed technical courses and 7 hours of general education required. Students will learn about health services and care as they prepare for college. You may expect to get between 12 and 15 credits every semester.

The training lasts for two weeks and includes 80 hours of instruction. There are a maximum of 24 participants in each class. Every two weeks, the course is made accessible to students.  There will be classroom education for seven days and clinical training for two days. It is possible for students to take the State Certification Exam, which is also administered by Saad, on the last day of instruction.

CNA Classes in Huntsville

Calhoun Community College

As one of the major higher education institutions in Alabama, Calhoun Community College was established in 1942. Calhoun has also been rated among the top 150 public institutions in the United States by the Aspen Institute.

Decatur and Huntsville are the two campuses of the institution. Nursing courses were previously exclusively accessible at the Decatur site, but CNA programs were added to the Huntsville campus in November 2017.

Long-term care nursing assistants must complete 75 hours of training via Calhoun University’s Nursing Assistant (NAS100). Alabama’s Department of Public Health has authorized the curriculum as part of the Workforce Development program at the institution. Prometric administers the State Nursing Assistant Certification test, and graduates are entitled to take the exam.

The 25-day nursing assistant curriculum at Calhoun is held Monday through Friday, with four-hour lessons each day (5-9 p.m.). It’s a mix of classroom lectures and hands-on practice. Students will be responsible for transportation to the clinical site, uniforms, materials, and health tests that are not included in the cost of tuition (including PPD and immunizations).
