You can start on the path to becoming an LPN in Pennsylvania by locating a state approved training program. These programs are offered at nursing schools, community colleges and other types of vocational schools. You will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent and must have reached the age of 18 (there may be exceptions).

An LPN training program will provide you with all the classroom and clinical instruction you need to have a good foundation to begin your work as a Licensed Practical Nurse. You will achieve hands on experience working in many different departments during your clinical studies. After you complete your training, you can apply to sit for the licensing exam.
